In light of the recent information relating to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, the Town of Stockton Municipal Clerk has made arrangements to offer additional office hours for residents to participate in the upcoming April 7th election.  Individuals are strongly encouraged to vote absentee if at all possible.  To do this, you will need to be a registered voter.  There are several ways registered voters can request absentee ballots. If you have internet access, the easiest way is to sign up at MyVote Wisconsin, https://myvote.wi.gov.  Voters can also request absentee ballots by completing the Wisconsin Application for Absentee Ballot then mailing, emailing or faxing it to municipal clerk’s office. An Absentee Ballot Request is required along with valid Photo ID in all instances.  Voters that vote IN PERSON in the Clerk’s Office will have an envelope only to complete.

The deadline for registered voters to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you is the Thursday before the election, April 2. However, due to possible delays in mail delivery, requesting an Absentee Ballot by March 31st is suggested.  Your absentee ballot must be received in your clerk’s office or at your polling place by 8 p.m. on Election Day. No exceptions.

If you are not sure if you’re a registered voter, online voter registration is available at https://myvote.wi.gov. Voter registration forms that can be printed and filled out by hand are also available at https://elections.wi.gov/forms/el-131-fillable.  However, the deadline to register online is Wednesday, March 18th.  After that date, you NEED to register IN PERSON in the Clerk’s Office or on Election Day.
