Volunteer Opportunity for Lake Thomas Area
Jul 29, 2015

Hello Adams, Bear and Thomas Lake folks!

Enthusiastic individuals are needed for the Adams, Bear and Thomas Lake Healthy Shorelands Teams!

This fun and unique volunteer opportunity is part of the “Healthy Lakes, Healthy Shorelands Project”, where the goal is to start neighborly conversations about the importance of healthy shorelands and how landowners can improve their lake’s water quality, fishing, recreation, and property values. For this one-time, short-term project, no experience is required and you choose the days/times that work best for you!

Volunteers will be able to…

                   1. Select materials to share with your lake community

- Choose materials on a variety of topics (i.e. fish, wildlife, water quality, economics, recreation)

- Personalize your handouts with photos of your lake (optional)

2. Chat with neighbors!

- Offer tips, advice, cost-share opportunities and other resources

- Volunteer “buddies” available

3. Plus…

                         - Receive materials, training and ongoing support!

                         - Learn more about your lake and healthy shoreland practices!

                         - Get to know your neighbors on the lake!

Interested in joining the team? Contact Sarah Hull by email ([email protected]) or phone (715-346-2497).

[Note: Opportunities are available through early September 2015.]

Looking forward to potentially working with you to help make a positive impact on your lake!

Please share this fantastic opportunity with others, including your lake group.
